Official Contest Guidelines

The Sculptor’s Reborn Contest celebrates the creativity and skill of reborn artists by showcasing their interpretation of the work sculpted by the Laura Tuzio Ross. Artists are invited to bring the sculpt to life using their unique artistic techniques.

Eligibility

• Open to reborn artists of all experience levels.

• Artists must be the sole creator of the reborn doll entered.

• Each artist may submit one entry per category.

• Contestants must be registered for the event and contest prior to the entry deadline.

 

Approved Sculpt

• Entries must use the official sculpt(s) designated for the contest.

• Sculpt kits must be authentic and purchased through authorized retailers.

• Counterfeit or unauthorized kits will result in immediate disqualification.

 

Artistic Work Requirements

• Painting and skin tone realism.

• Hair rooting or painted hair.

• Eyelashes and eyebrows.

• Realistic details such as mottling, veining, shading, and creasing.

• Proper assembly and weighting.

 

Prohibited Alterations

• Counterfeit or unauthorized kits.

• Major sculpt alterations or reshaping.

• Collaborative entries.

 

Presentation

• Dolls must be fully finished and clean at the time of judging.

• Clothing should be simple and not distract from the artwork.

• Minimal props are recommended so the focus remains on the reborn artistry.

 

Artist Agreement

• By entering the contest, participants agree to follow all contest rules and acknowledge that judges’ decisions are final.
